After hearing the video and reading the articles on L2, I can't say that I feel up to date but I do feel that libraries have to be proactive in the services they provide if libraries are going to continue in any form. Google may answer alot of questions but libraries can and will be the base for many searches. I feel very fortunate to be in an area where the administrative group is up top of the issues and changes facing libraries. I know that the libraries I have served have struggled to stay afloat, so to speak, just to continue their extistence. I would have to add that "23 things on a stick" is a good example of our area keeping their librarians/staff if not involved at least informed to some degree of the future outlook and needs.
